Grading and Assignments in this course are divided into 3 types: student engagement (discussion), multi-step research project, assessment of course material knowledge.

Student Engagement (20%)
There are two aspects of student engagement:
- Analyzing and exploring primary sources via live Zoom sessions or the chatboard (Weekly participation for the chatboard; twice weekly for live sessions)
- Analyzing and exploring podcast episodes via the chatboard (three times per semester)

Research Project (60%)
There are three steps to this project:
- Part One: Primary and Secondary Source Evaluation Due May 21st
- Part Two: Proposal Due May 28th
- Part Three: Final Project and Self-Reflection Due June 21st

Assessment of Course Material (20%)
You have two options:
- Weekly quizzes (Posted each Friday; due one week later)
- Final exam (During the exam period: June 21-25)
